Zoop is an object oriented framework for PHP based on a front controller. It is designed to be very fast and efficient and very nice for the programmer to work with. It is easily extensible, and you need only include the functionality you use.
The Zoop framework features GuiControls (a PHP implementation of .net's webcontrols), AJAX support and integration, automatic form validation and creation (including db integration), a Smarty templating system, PDF creation, session handling, and SMTP template-based email sending.
Zoop is a mature framework. Originally written for php 3, Zoop has been in production use since 2001 originally using the name pehppy. Zoop now supports php 4.3 and above including the recently released 5.1.
Zoop is built for PHP. PHP is the most widely used language on the internet, but until now there has not been a compelling framework that was capable of providing a productive framework for just about any project one may want to tackle. Zoop provides PHP that framework.
