ZK Ajax Web framework version 1.2.0 RC2 Released

ZK, Ajax but no JavaScript has got lot of new features that will more and more enrich the web application. With the announcement of the version 1.2.0 RC2, ZK is getting simpler and richer. A total of 26 new features, macro components i.e. developing new components without programming and 22 bugs are fixed in this release.
ZK is an open-source Ajax Web framework that enables rich UI for Web applications with no JavaScript and little programming. With event-driven feature-rich components, developing becomes as simple as programming desktops. With a markup language, designing becomes as simple as authoring HTML.
Some of the new features that are added in ZK - version 1.2.0 RC2 are:
Macro components are supported; developing new components without programming.
Developers are allowed to define new components in a page.
Two new components: imagemap and area.
The custom-attributes element is added to simplify the assignment of custom attributes.
The regular expression constraints are supported.
Components could be created in any thread, not limited event listeners.
ZK Update Engine is optimized for pages with a lot of components.
ZK is configurable by use of /WEB-INF/zk.xml.
More configuration options are supported.
