Thomas Fuchs has released the version 1.6.0 of the Script.aculo.us Script. The script will make use of the fully object-oriented Prototype JavaScript library, which comes with the Ruby on Rails web application development framework. Script.aculo.us can use Prototype with any web development tools, even with static HTML pages.

Transparent compatibility with all major browsers that feature support for Web 2.0 technology. As of now, following browsers are supported: Firefox 1.0 (and most other Gecko-engine based browsers), Internet Explorer 6 and Safari. Many other browsers work, too.
