Review of Flex-Ajax Bridge

Over WebMonkey, Robert Capili have written his views over Flex-Ajax Bridge (FABridge). The Flex-Ajax Bridge is a small, unobtrusive library of code that you can insert into a Flex application, a Flex component or even an empty SWF file to expose it to scripting in the browser.
He Writes "Intrigued, I clicked on the link and I was transported to what is now called the Adobe Labs website. In front of me, there was a small page entitled "Flex Framework:FABridge" with text describing a new library of code allowing Flex applications to interact with Ajax apps."
Robert in this article talks about FABridge software basics, how it works, and at last an walk-through with an example to get you started. He has also attached the sample screenshots of the demo which he created to explore FABridge. The code which he used to create the bridge between this sample app and the Ajax can be found here.
You can use the FABridge library to automatically expose your Flex application to Ajax-based HTML applications. Using the bridge, you can easily embed rich Flex components in your applications, integrating them tightly with the rest of the page content. Once a Flex application is enabled through the bridge, JavaScript developers have access to all of the functionality it provides.
His Final thoughts are "Having used the Flex-Ajax Bridge, my initial thoughts are positive. It is definitely an improvement over using the External API. But, if you start playing with it, be prepared to do a little experimentation in order to get your code to work. At this point in time, the documentation is sparse, and you will find yourself digging through the available examples in order to figure out how something is done. But, there seems to be a method to the madness, so with a little diligence, you should be able to get where you are going. "
