Microsoft's Atlas Eases AJAX Development, Consultant Says

Microsoft's Atlas Asynchronous Java and XML development tool drastically lightens the load of AJAX-style development, said a speaker at the VSLive conference here.

AJAX uses the XMLHTTP protocol to contact Web services. "The key to all this is JavaScript," Nemhauser said. "There is extensive use of client script, and because it runs to the client we get better application performance."
